A perfect double clear round from Wexford’s Harry Allen and the 9-year-old gelding Calculatus has given them a third place finish on the podium in today’s (Sunday) three-star Grand Prix at Ommen in The Netherlands. Twelve combinations went through to the jump-off and Allen was one of just three riders to jump double clear at the finish. Britain’s Jodie Hall McAteer and Kimosa van het Kritrahof took victory with a time of 42.27, with Dutch rider Michael Greeve and Hendriksen Jacksonville second in 43.50. Allen stopped the clock clear in 43.63.
