Incredible Irish winning run continues at Spruce Meadows

Ireland’s domination at five-star Spruce Meadows in Canada continued on Friday, with the two feature classes once again won by Irish riders.
Derry’s Jordan Coyle and Ford Gold claimed victory in the RBC Capital Markets Cup 1.50m after a five-horse jump off. It was another Irish1-2-3 with Conor Swail second with My Lady Lavista ahead of Darragh Kenny and Diaroubet in third.
The Atco Cup 1m50 saw Conor Swail yet again prove why he’s ranked 15th in the world with a victory aboard the chestnut mare, One Edition. Swail also tied for third in the competition aboard Clonterm Obolensky (ISH) with fellow Irishman Darragh Kenny and Zero K.

On Thursday in Spruce Meadows Irish riders once again dominated, taking victory in both feature classes at the five-star fixture.
Co Down’s Conor Swail and the Brian Duff-bred Clonterm Obolensky (ISH) proved unbeatable in the 1m50 jump-off, while Darragh Kenny finished as runner-up with Mendoza VDL. Kenny went one better in the later 1m55 Recon Metal Cup, guiding Eddy Blue to victory in a competition where Irish riders filled all of the top three places. David O’Brien and El Balou Old finished as runners-up ahead of Conor Swail and My Lady Lavista in third.
