Five-star Qatar win for Richard Howley – Mark McAuley third with Denis Hickey-bred GRS Lady Amaro (ISH)

Irish Show Jumping riders have made a brilliant start at the five-star fixture in Doha, Qatar, with Sligo’s Richard Howley taking victory in today’s (Thursday) 1m50 speed class with Zodiak du Buisson Z. Howley jumped clear in 62.73 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding (VDL Zirocco Blue x Dutch Capitol Z) to take the winners prize of just over €26,000 while Louth’s Mark McAuley finished third with the Denis Hickey-bred GRS Lady Amaro (ISH) in 63.71.
