Tipperary’s Denis Lynch and the 15-year-old gelding Brooklyn Heights have finished as runners-up in today’s five-star Audi Grand Prix at Bordeaux World Cup show in France. Just four of the 28 starters jumped clear in the first round with two of those for Ireland. Lynch jumped clear in 40.15 seconds in the jump-off to finish second, while Galway’s Jessica Burke and the 11-year-old mare Nikey HH also jumped double clear in 43.94 to take third spot.
French World No.5 Julien Epaillard and Donatello d’Auge took victory in front of the home fans when posting a clear in 38.70 as first to go against the clock.
