Clem McMahon and the Harry Marshall-owned Tango E.T. took victory in the final leg of the Showjumping Ireland Autumn Grand Prix series at Cavan Equestrian Centre. From a start-list of 41 horses and riders, seven combinations went forward to the jump-off where McMahon’s clear in 35.53 seconds gave him the win. Jonathan Smyth finished as runner-up with Mulvin Lights Out (ISH) ahead of LT James Whyte and Hawthorn Hill (ISH) in third.
The 2023 Showjumping Ireland Autumn Grand Prix Series featured a minimum of €6,000 at each of the legs and began in Mullingar on September 10th where victory went to Young Rider Francis Derwin (Jnr) and AHG Whiterock Cruise Down (ISH). Francis Derwin again came out on top in the second leg of the series at Duffys Equestrian Centre in Galway, this time riding Parvati.
Portmore was the venue for the third leg of the SJI Autumn Grand Prix series where Jonathan Smyth scooped the winners prize with Mulvin Lights Out (ISH). The action then moved to Hollypark Stables in Co Limerick on October 25th where victory went to Aimee Barry and Garryndruig Limoncello. The penultimate leg of the series took place at Wexford Equestrian Centre on November 4th with Sven Hadley and Uidam taking the top prize.
