AIRC Festival Report 2023

A huge field of competitors travelled from all corners of Ireland to the Association of Irish Riding Clubs annual festival, which took place at Mullingar Equestrian Centre on June 10th & 11th 2023.

The TRI Equestrian RC 90 Team Show Jumping saw victory go to the Benbulben team of Anne Lawrence (Pot O Honey), Emma O’Connor (Acrefield Enzo), Sarah Dunleavy (Lecarrow Silver Shadow) and Therese Anderson (Killian Boy).

The TRI Equestrian RC 80 Team Show Jumping was won by the Galway West quartet of Lucy Jackson (Branchfield Dandy), Mary Connolly (Oxview Max), Michelle Murray (Heros Silver) and Sarah Louise Keane (Errislannan Poer).

In the TRI Equestrian RC 70 Team Show Jumping, the Burren team of Avril Kilmarn (Cassy Free), Hazel Allen (Frawley Empress), Keya Kenneally (Barnamore) and Patricia DeDapper (Ballysallagh Sea Red) took home the winners trophy.

In the Dressage arena, there were wins for Dawn O’Brien (Clonlara), Helen McLaughlin (Leitrim), John Gavin (Ashbrook), and Niamh Macken (Mullingar). The Irish Field Pairs Dressage was won by Aisling Blakemore and Sarah O’Neill representing Boyneside, while the Irish Field Dressage teams of three was won by the Headfort trio of Beverly Hutchinson, Lynsey Rogers and Zoe Grogan.
